Digital marketing and advertisement is considered the "future" of advertisement and marketing. In fact, we would say that digital marketing and advertisement is gaining much important due to various reasons. Digital marketing and advertisement is becoming so famous because of technological advancements. Since many people are now using computers and smartphones, it is much easier to reach a good number of audience without doing much effort. This is something that door to door advertisement and other forms of advertisement does not offer. However, this does not mean that digital marketing or advertisement is the only way to promote your product or door to door advertisement and marketing is any less effective!

However, since many people are still unaware of how digital marketing and advertisement works, I believe that promotion of services and products through digital way still require much more time to get adopted. This is because many small companies in my country still depend heavily on traditional advertisement methods to sell their products and reach customers. So, what about you? Businesses are now using social media as the most popular medium for digital marketing. Even the small businesses that cater only to the neighborhood, they also have a social media account for purposes of promoting their small business. It is a given that 99% of the people have a social media account and it is very rare to find someone who is ignorant of social media. That is the logic behind the proliferation of marketing campaigns in social media. Aside from the paid ads I am seeing personal posts of their business in Facebook that I think is beneficial to the business.

Maybe 5 years from now a business with no social media connection will be at a big disadvantage. It is a surprise that even the Sunday market has a Facebook Page so now I am informed of the time it opens and if the market is open on Sunday or not (due to the rise in covid cases the Sunday market has been closed for 3 weeks now). The best part of using social media for the digital marketing is that it is free and there is no obligation except to just abide with the policy which is the basic - no spamming, no hate posts, etc.
