Yes I actually mean the same salt we use to cook our food , preserve food items and do many other things with. Salt has always been of primordial importance throughout human history and exploration, Its importance, which includes preservation of food items, this was so important that the ancient Romans used it as money, Yes, a medium of exchange then. Soldiers were paid in rations of salt. In fact, that's where we get the English word "salary." It's also where the English word "salad," which was used to name not only leafy greens but also used to refer to those Romans who liked to sprinkle their greens with salt to improve the flavor.
