There are a couple of things that you need to take care of if you want to earn through affiliate marketing, for example, you need to promote legitimate products and you need to promote to the right audience. When I say legitimate products, I mean you need to promote products from the companies that are well known to the people, Amazon or Clickbank for example. Promoting to the right audience means promoting to your potential customers.

For me, I think I agree with you judging by what you wrote up there, it was actually necessary and worth it, and if I am going to be honest about this, from my little experience about it, it is quite obvious that most of the people that are doing the job for not really know much about this facts, some of them just got some few lessons about it and they just think that they are good to go which is why you will later see some of them dumping the work because they can’t keep up with anymore after investing

Lolz, the first one is really funny but that is true in most cases and so many people are always interested to be selling whatever product they comes across , but well it may not likely means that because you are marketing that you are going to generate so much profit. You must first of all identify the type of products you are to market and focus on certain product or at least not more than 5 product at a time.

Because that will really help you concentrate and attract the best customers for your affiliate products.

Affiliate marketing is just another area entirely and will only requires people with understanding to succeed, people are always fun of starting affiliate marketing business on their own without even having a guidance to help them on how to go about every affiliate marketing activities and strategy.

Well if this will really help you, there is no problem but personally I do not just see the need for you to just started a business without having a mentor or a guidance to help you. Because without having someone to guide you may help you overcome so many challenge and difficulties while trying to make money as an affiliate marketer

An affiliate marketer must have the influence to invite other people to buy/use the products they are promoting, in general the affiliate is an influencer, blogger or a well-known person. So not everyone can be a successful affiliate.

But the common mistake that you should avoid as a novice affiliate marketing is not to join too many affiliate programs, maximum 3 affiliates. don't apply hard selling to customers so that it seems forced. Don't know the product to be promoted, Don't track affiliate links, so you don't know what product links are frequently visited by customers. Also often affiliates don't have a website, or only use a free blog so it looks less professional. It's wrong to choose an affiliate marketing program that applies a high Withdrawal Threshold so that it takes us a long time to reach the minimum payout.

One piece of advise, I do have, is this: Try to focus on one program at at time, instead of hopping around many, 'chasing every little new shiny object' that you find; Unless, you like adventure.. lol.

So don't get discouraged if the first month isn't profitable! Keep working hard and eventually it will pay off.

As an affiliate marketer, you need to balance your own interests with those of your company or brand. If they want more traffic than they can get from just one link, then maybe they shouldn't be using that link at all!
