Career, a factor that determines how one's life is going to be, be it good or bad.
Career does not necessarily mean getting involved in a paying job. It is an occupation embarked upon for a long period of time in a person's life and it comes with different opportunities for progressions.
A career is not a job, there are slight differences between the two.
A career is just like a lifetime occupation, something your life is set upon, you build it up and work towards it everyday while a job is just something you do to get paid. You do it for money just for survival purpose and for the main time as well.
Examples of careers include; Doctors, Lawyers, Surgeons, Teachers etc.

But when it comes to choosing a Career, there are 5 factors you need to consider..
5 FACTORS TO CONSIDER WHEN CHOOSING A CAREER:
1: Check yourself out__ It gives out details of things you enjoy doing in life, what you enjoy learning, your passions and talents, the type of works you love participating in. Be it indoors or outdoors jobs. Check yourself out it helps decide on choosing a career.

2: Explore career options__ Don't just go into a particular career because everyone wants you to or because you are confused on what career opportunity to take on. Gather lots of career informations, check out career possibilities and picture yourself doing one of the best jobs out there. Take your time and don't relent.

3: Desired Salary__ When choosing a career you love. It is also very important to consider your desired salary, choose a career that supports your life financially, a career that gives you the salary to be able to build up a better life.

4: Do what makes you happy__ Choose a career that talks about your happiness. A career that once you get yourself involved in it, you feel extremely comfortable and happy with it.

5: And lastly, Go Out And Achieve Your Goal__ After going through the necessary steps. Then do the final step which involves going out to achieve your goals. Work towards it, read, learn, pass through the education levels and learn a lot about career. Once that is done, seek career opportunities and make sure you earn your desired goal.
Choose your career now and live it cause time waits for no one.

I believe that when someone wants to choose a career, that decision should be void of sentiments and emotions. The person should use logic to weigh all options before deciding on a career path to follow.

I don't agree with you that a career is not a job, I think a career is also a job that requires professionals, expertise and such as lawyers, accountants, doctors, secretaries, so careers focus more on someone's position in their work. And this also doesn't mean they have to work and pursue a career throughout their lives, because they have years of service and are about to retire. In pursuing and choosing a career most people throw away the fun factor and the factors you like in your life but focus more on your skills and your education, a lawyer is unlikely to have a career in accounting and vice versa. A person who has a career as a lecturer/teacher or doctor cannot choose a salary, because the salary standard has been determined by the government and private educational institutions.
