Can you make money from a blog? This question is asked by many people for two reasons. One reason is that they associate the internet to deception to tricks where only extra income cn be generated.

Second, they have tried ineffective techniques for smoke vendors and different videos that are on YouTube. Experts say that it is possible to generate a lot of money online but you have to do it well.

The first step to making money is to create a blog. This does not mean that you start creating a blog with free platforms like Blogger or Wix. That will not work.

One thing about making reasonable amount of money from blogging generally is the passion you have got for the niche you are focused on. So many people think it is just about buying a domain and then publishing any contents. This money making from blog is heard a lot from people. But, the way isn't easy as there is a lot of competition there among the bloggers. You said right that many YouTubers suggest that start your career as a free blog from sites like Blogger, etc.

You can make much more money through blogging ,but only if you are consistent and ready to advertise your blog site as well by paying some influencer blogger to advertise your blog site or channel on their own channel as well. So with that you get more traffic in your site and the more you could provide the people coming to your blog site what they could like to see the more they start coming just to update there self..

And I must tell you this when people come to your blog site and they feel more safe there ,they start to invite there friends and family to also come to your blogging site ... But you still need to monetize your blog tho...

Having a blog is one thing, making money with it is the big deal. Blogs can be owned by different people but the ability of making money dwells on the volume of traffic that one has and maybe the region the traffic is coming from especially if one is monetizing with Google AdSense and other ads network.

Blogging is a good way to earn money and it is not a get rich scheme, blogging needs you to be consistent and you have to be dedicated to it, you have to promote your blog either employing SEO guys that will do that for you and after you have members you will need to keep posting every day in other to keep your member engage and always finish your post with trigger question that will make them comment on the post with that and as time goes on they will want to invite their friends too and you start having many members and making your money.
