Chinese-Canadian businessman Changpeng Zhao, often known as CZ, is the creator of Binance, one of the biggest cryptocurrency exchanges in the world. He has been a well-known personality in the cryptocurrency space, particularly for his support of digital asset self-custody. He called on the cryptocurrency community in 2022 to assume private ownership of their digital assets, stressing the significance of self-custody as a basic human right. Although Zhao has a great deal of power in the cryptocurrency world, he has also had difficulties, such as a sharp decline in his personal worth and legal problems with Binance's business practices.

The story of Zhao can be seen from different angles. While most people have seen him as a criminal that has been convicted in some countries and his business, Binance, has been blacklisted in some countries, others have seen him as a hero that need emulation.

I do see him as an opportunist. While other people are thinking on only keeping of cryptocurrency, he was thinking on how to trade with cryptocurrency and provide platform for traders to make money using cryptocurrency.

Though the controversial issues concerning him has made him stepped down as the CEO.

This is actually not a good time for the Binance CEO, he's been hit with barrage of lawsuits and currently under the watch of the FBI, also his net worth has nose dived greatly due to what he's been going through lately, in my country too, there has been a lot of controversy about the Binance app.

Some executive who came to settle the ban the government placed on the app were arrested and are currently under the custody of Department of Security Service.

A really trying times for the company and founders, if they're clean they'll definitely bounce back, it's not all sunshines
