Are businesses expected to be 100% sincere with their consumers.

It is almost unthinkable for business owners and business managers to not be honest to be our customers and clients and in fact being honest and sincere and also showing a sense of transparency to your customers and clients is absolutely One strategy of winning their trust and loyalty. Studies and research have shown that customers and clients are more likely to patronize a business owner or business manager who is 100% transparent and truthful with them. But the big question here to ask is, should businesses be hundred percent honest to their clients and customers? Well in my own perspective and view being honest to your clients and customers is good but sometimes keeping some secrets about your business to yourself can also be good to some extent. There is absolutely no business that does not have a confidential secret in which it does not want unauthorised individuals to know about. And even if these businesses do have employees and workers, the employees and workers themselves also try to not speak out this confidential information to unauthorised individual and that is part of their fiduciary duties as organizational employees.

It is pretty possible for business rivals and business competitors to disguise as clients and customers to a business, just to steal necessary informations and confidential secrets from such business in other to tear down and make theirs the only surviving business. You must hundred percent be attentive and explainative in answering any question imposed to you by your clients and customers but you must be careful never took over answer them.

It is very true that sincerity and honesty is absolutely one of the most capable means most businesses can use to win the trust and loyalty of their business customers and clients. But it can totally be harmful to the success of a business if the business in particular seems to be 100-percent sincere and honest when interacting and communicating with clients and customers. Communicating with clients and customers is absolutely very interesting and in fact during communication and interaction with clients and customers you get to know more about them another never to disappoint them but rather make your goods and services available to meet their needs and preferences and that is if you want to make sufficient amount of business profit and output.

But even with that, you should be mindful on what type of questions imposed to you by your clients and customers, because like you already said business rivals and business competitors may disguise themselves as clients and customers to a business but rather they are there to steal informations concerning the business progress so as to tear it down.

One of the principles of utility states that a consumer should have full knowledge of the product/service they are purchasing. Businesses need to be sincere with their customers. Let them choose to patronize your product. It helps to build brand trust which in turn translates to brand loyalty. If your consumers feel they have been defrauded into buying your products, they would never patronize you again.
