Airport affecting property rates in an area

Though flight tickets are expensive, some people , especially older people prefer to travel by air since it is convenient and they save some time. Usually the area near the airport is well developed. Also larger cities, popular tourist destinations have a larger airport and more flights. The property rates in areas with a large airport and more flights is also usually higher in some countries. Do you live in a city or town with an airport? If yes how many flights are departing and landing at the airport? Has your flight to another city or town been cancelled anytime?

It is not just airports that would shoot up the price of a real estate property in an area. It is even just the news of a proposed airport that would kick up the price of real estate properties in an area massively. That's because companies and brands would scramble to get properties to set up hotels and other kinds of tourist utility services in the area.

These landmarks attract an influx of commercial activities in such locations and people are naturally attracted to move towards that location. It is simply a demand and supply thing that happens. The demand of real estate shoots up on areas that have airports or are proposed to have airports and the price of real estate properties shoot up.
