If you are an employee and your boss hands you a gift certificate because it is the company’s anniversary, what would you feel? The extra benefit never fails to motivate the employees even if the gift certificate is not substantial as to be less than $20. Giving something to the worker is a gesture of goodwill.

During the Christmas season it is a business tradition to have the so called Christmas giveaways that are usually umbrella (for a tropical country), shirt, pen, bag and small purse. The company spends so much for those products but the return is the profit from the strong relationship of the employer with the employee. Business owners should never forget that small things can sometimes be rewarded with big things. The cost will always be worth it.

I agree with your last line business owners need to understand this. Any little act of kindness through gifts go a long way in motivating people especially workers to do more. So yeah this is a good work that one can subtly used to make workers work harder in their companies
