When you're looking to win a business contract, you want to make sure that your proposal follows these tips:

1. Make it easy for the client to read. Give them all the information they need in one place, and don't use too many words.

2. Always be honest and direct with your clients. Don't try to hide anything or play games with them; they'll figure out what's up if you do that!

3. Be professional, but also friendly and approachable. You can't be too pushy or too weird, but you can't be boring either—you need to show that this is a job that excites you as much as it does them.

4. Know the client's business.

5. Know your product.

6. Be flexible and willing to compromise and understand that you may not always get what you want, but that is ok!

7. Be willing to take risks, even if it means going against your gut instinct (but also make sure you have a backup plan).

One tip for winning a business contract is to be realistic with your proposals. Don't inflate prices and don't underestimate. Another very important thing is the level of professionalism in your financial projection. Let it be unambiguous. A person has to see how each component moves from one point to another.

Also, do your due diligence. Understand the nature of the project that needs to be executed. If possible, explore alternative ways of executing the project and see which is more feasible.

Please make sure you understand your proposal so that you would be able to clarify any concerns that may arise from it. Always bid for contracts in a sector that you have vast experience in. Highlight the possible pitfalls in the project and your plans to tackle them if they arise. Show the previous works you have done in that particular sector. If the proposal is to be presented, package your presentation well and be confident when delivering.
