Line managers are the people that are in charge of the operational structures of a business. They are the ones that micro manage the various departments of a business organisation. They play very important roles in the success of a business organisation. Two of these core functions are
1) Team building and management: Line managers build teams with people that are assigned to the them to carry out the responsibilities of that department. Line managers help staff under them to collaborate and work together.
2) Driving Innovation: Line managers spur up their teams to drive innovation and creativity to help the business grow. They identify innovative staff and motivate them to lead creative interventions for the business organisation.
