If you had 100million dollars, will you invest or retire?

Economics told us that human needs are insatiable but I think that's only theoretical and not practical because I strongly belive that once one has eaten to his full, he won't be interested in any meal offered to him no matter how delicious and appealing it is.

I don't belive that one has to continually struggle all through ones entire existence or lifetime on earth. There must be that level or height or threshold as many may call it that on arrival you can begin to take the needed rest and escape the hazard and stress for work.

You may not have set the amount of money needed for you to proceed on retirement but assuming you have 100 million dollars, would that be sufficient for you to proceed on retirement or will you still invest and keep doing business?

This is huge money never the less it is not up to the richest person. Even the richest person in the world is still investing, why won't I want to invest in good business in other to earn more money. It is money that you invest that will multiply the one you did not invest will neither multiply but it can also decrease.

Nah....I plan to work till I'm like 65 or so.... 40 is too early for me... There is the need of adventure in human and the need of more money... Believe at 40 if you get 100mill there will still be something in your sixth sense to invest and have more.... But at 65 or 70... Old age is kicking in... Your needs gets so little... You just wanna eat, see your grandchildren, live another till you die.
Did you not hear, they said life begins at 40?
Early retirement is sweet and nothing like it. I don't have to get to old age before starting my retirement. I Need to have time for myself, my family, my favourite games and others and it shouldn't start at 65, that's too stressful you know.

How many years do you have left to enjoy life.
Old age is not ageing, some people are you in ages but they are seriously aged due to stress.

This is amazing and it's, making laugh really hard and loud.

Does one need to be very old or having health challenges or disability before embarking of retirement?

I personally don't plan to continue with the routine of 8 to 4pm jobs for a long time.

Retiring at 40 is okay, so that one can have fun, go on vacation, visit the beaches, travel round the world and enjoy the beauty of life.

At this my age I will invest it.... Human needs is insatiable... I'm not old... I'm still very young and I still look forward to the challenge that life is still gonna lose to me so why should I retire... I don't have any rising health challenges neither I'm I disable... I will invest it... Perhaps even go into dangerous investment for the reason of adventure.

100 million dollars is a whole lot of money. If I am in a scenario whereby I will be giving such amount of money I will definitely not resign but I will use half of the money to enter various investments and businesses. The likes of Bill Gates, Elon musk, Jeff bezos and the rest of them billionaires how much amount of money but they are still in business making more money.

I will invest it and be getting my returns. This is a time for me to enjoy myself so I will not set up any business. I will just find some companies and buy shares and be getting my dividends. I don't want further stress for myself. If I invest just 25 percent of that money I will be getting a lot of money at the end of the month. That life is okay for me, I don't want much. But let us wake up, who will give me that kind of money? Let us all go as hustle.

.if I have that kind of money I won't retire but i would rather invest and grow the money, a capital at hand wont yield you any profit but rather would still get exhausted due to the insatiable needs and demand of man, but with your investing the money you still have a long way to go in keeping the capital and also the profit yielded from the capital would be use in running your day to day activities, most especially investing in real estate whee your wealth can be pass unto generation to generation

I'll just retire and focus on low yield interest investments. The money market provides opportunity for such with interest guaranteed instruments like bonds, treasury bills and mutual funds investment. With a 5% per annum investment on a $100m capital being $5m guaranteed for a year is more than enough for retirement.

We are dealing with human being here and you don't need to be using deductive argument. The fact that others won't eat again when they are satisfied and filled doesn't mean some won't still eat these foods even when filled. Having this kind of money will depend on individual level of self actualization. For me personally, I am a contended being, I won't look for anything again. I will only a part for my children and generation.
