There's a lot of talk in the entrepreneurial community about true entrepreneurs—who they are, what they do, and how they think. Or rather, there's a lot of talk about who isn't a true entrepreneur. In truth, most people who call themselves entrepreneurs aren't really. Most businesses aren't really businesses. In fact, most people don't even know what an entrepreneur is. But we do. We know what an entrepreneur is, and we know what makes one successful. So let's get down to brass tacks: When is it time to call yourself a true entrepreneur? When you can answer a resounding "yes" to all of these questions:
-Are you solving problems for your clientele?
-Are you working hard?
-Are you doing the things that other people won't do so you can have the things that other people don't have? Not relying on other companies to make your product.
- Not relying on other companies to market your product.
- Not relying on other people to make decisions for you.
It may seem obvious and too easy to answer , but in sincerity there's more to it than that. A real entrepreneur takes ownership of his or her risks and rewards.
