When business workers ask for salary raise.

At times in a business organization the employees and business workers and staffs in such business organization might absolutely ask for a salary increase from their boss. As the business manager or business owner this is never the time for you to react in a rude and unjust manner but rather you should sit back to understand whether indeed such employee or business staff really deserve the salary increase. Possibly he or she may be going through a family problem which obviously need financial sufficiency to handle. Increasing his or her salary will obviously mean that you care about his or her welfare in the business organization.

However you must make sure that he or she understands that increasing salary means delegation of more duties and responsibilities to him or her. At the end of the day it is expected that you and him or her comes to a just agreement.

When it comes to issues that have to do with salary raises, you don't have to wait for the employee to ask you. I believe that it is one of those things that should be defined clearly in the terms of engagement. There must be a clearly defined structure for an employee to get a raise from the get go. You would breed an unmotivated team if you allow it to get to a point that your staff have to ask you for a salary raise.

Yes, an employee can asked for a pay raise. it is of essence to first show why you think exactly that you deserve a pay rise and have an understanding of what makes up a fair wage for your position.

If you are not getting the rise you are expecting then talking with the management about why they should give you more money is the best bet

You need to try to put in the work so that you become very confident to request for more pay.
