If we are going to talk about performance between social Media ads and then search engine ads I'm definitely going to choose social media advertisements. This is because with social media advertisements you are more likely to meet a wider audience and even more advantages is the fact that you can target a particular Audience
 
Both are simply unique on their own way, they can helps us to promote our promotes through their own unique way. But social media ads seems the best for easy promotion that doesn't cost too much. One can easily get the ads from those social media sites owners and place it via his or her social media page and run ads, which will help him or her to get the products reached to audience faster.
 
The both of them are definitely effective if done in the right way. but I think social media advertisement is more effective than Google ads. the coming of the internet has given a lot of people the opportunity to advertise their products and reach a very high number of people eating with a little budget. I know someone who has done Facebook ads early this year, it gave him maximum result.

If we are talking of paid ads between search engine ad and social media ad my take would be the social media particularly the paid Facebook ads. It is very potent because whenever I would see a paid ad on my timeline there was the note on top that it was "liked" by several of my friends. It is not true but it can fool people.
 
Both search engines and social media has their usefulness, there are some things that you would need to use a search engine to get the right results while you may get irrelevant results if you use social media. I'm on some social media platforms and I know which one to use for each specific purpose and even my browsers as well.

I don't have the target statistics yet, but I think that if you want to sell a product then you would be better off advertising on search engines, because people on social media are more likely to not want to spend money on a product just by seeing a clickable ad, and are more likely to buy from buy and sell groups like what I have observed in Facebook.
 
I think it's totally upto your business and your target audience. Both have almost similar features, but some different characteristics generate better revenue.
 
In my view, Social Media ads are more effective compared to search engine ads. because nowadays, most of the people are using social media for various purposes so there you can target the audience easily. On social media sites, you can find more active users which will make it easy to recognize the product/service ads easily.

Yes, we all can agree that the best choice and the more effective one would be Social media ads, I mean just imagine Facebook it has 2.27 billion monthly active users. I mean for me that's just insane, it's the first platform to be able to do that, and that's the most well know social media platform, and if to think of it there's more social media platforms out there that has also a huge audience, so there you have it.
 
I think, Social Media ads is more effective compared to search engine ads. Mostly, of the people are using social media platform. Which means that there are more active users that can recognize the product/service ads easily. It is more visible. There is a wide spread of information on social media.
