Do you dump a partner business at first failure?

In the course of doing business, we get to partner with many other businesses such as suppliers, distributors and service providers. At times, as common with other forms of human relationships, failures from these partners can affect your own business either through production or ability to deliver. How would you manage such a business relationship when a challenge from a business you are partnering with causes a failure to your own business too?

It is a difficult call to make because your customers won't understand that the failure might not be from your own business but from third party partners. Would you dump the business that you are partnering with if challenges from their end affects your business negatively? How many allowances would you allow before you sever the business relationship with such a business?
