Various affiliates, markets, products and strategies are taken care of by different affiliate marketing programs. They include Pay-Per-Sale (PPS) or Cost-Per-Sale (CPS), which pay a commission per sale; Pay-Per-Lead (PPL) or Cost-Per-Lead (CPL), where affiliates earn a commission for directing potential clients to the parent site; Pay-Per-Click (PPC) or Cost-Per-Click (CPC), whereby an affiliate is paid for each click on his link; Revenue Sharing, where affiliates receive ongoing commissions; Two-Tier or Multi-Tier Programs, where any referrals made result into an earning for the affiliate; Product-Specific Programs, Service-Based Programs, Coupon or Deal Sites, Content or Review Sites, and Influencer or Social Media Programs. These programs provide opportunities for marketers to refer and earn from specific merchandise as well as services they have recommended. Affiliates can select those ones that match their own interests, knowledge base and advertising strategies.

From my own experience, I've discovered a variety of affiliate marketing programs of different niches and preferences. Also attending a programmatic marketing summit can provide valuable insights and networking opportunities to enhance affiliate marketing success.
There are essentially 4 types of Affiliate marketing:

  1. High-paying affiliate programs offer generous commissions in lucrative industries like finance, health, and technology.
  2. Niche-specific affiliate programs cater to specific interests or industries such as fitness, fashion, or travel, allowing affiliates to connect with targeted audiences.
  3. Recurring commission programs provide ongoing income opportunities, with affiliates earning commissions as long as their referrals remain customers.
  4. Affiliate networks act as intermediaries, offering a variety of programs and resources such as tracking tools, support, and payment processing
