Why you should charge your phone overnight.

Lithium battery used in modern phones are designed to be charged overnight. While this isn't the absolute healthiest option for it, it is usually justifies the convenience.
Lithium batteries as used in phones don't like to be full and don't like to be dead, they also don't like to be hot but it's best if they are full if an option is to be choosing. For best battery life you never want to fully charge or fully drain, and you never want to let it get hot. This is what good electric cars do, and their batteries last a long time, with a phone though they really aren't designed to maximize battery life span, and you should anticipate replacing the battery every 1to 3years depending on how much additional wear you support it to and how much degression you can tolerate. My recommendation is if you use you phone everyday, charge it every night and keep it out of the sun.

Am just learning this for the first time that charging a phone overnight is the best. That is good but what some battery runs down during the day what will the person in question do? Leave the phone which or she wants to use off? He or she has to charge during the day to be able to make use of the phone comfortably.

There is no stated law that alludes to the information given. What I have came across before is getting your battery below 15 percent of usage before plugging in to recharge. Also, using the phone while its charging should be discouraged.

The info about maintaining your phone's battery posted here will be better accepted if verified.
