There are various forms of occupation in our country.

Someone who studied Accountancy in tje university or any tertiary institution is bound to probably ventures into business of buying and selling or probably get a white collar Job like working in a bank or any financial institutions or company that deals with capital.

Someone that studied Engineer, though we have various forms of engineering.

They are as follows: Mechanical engineering which has to do with engines, machines or other heavy iron.

Construction engineer will construct roads,bridges,etc

Someone who studied Medicine in the University, will end up becoming a medical doctor in any field of his or her specialisations.Such person can also work as a nurse in the hospital taking care of patients.

Someone that studied Law,will end become a barrister or legal practitioner and such person may end up a Judge passing Judgement.

Now,what is the fate of a person that studied a Vernacular Language(Yoruba) as a course in the university. What do you think such can do in the society?Or would the person end up becoming a teacher?

Please I need your submission on the matter that has been analyzed above so that such person will know it's stand and what he or she can gain in the society.
Your response will be highly appreciated. Thanks.

Well, I will say that this thread is only for Nigerians, because I don't think people from around the world would understand your question. Lol.... However, I think what you studied in Nigeria doesn't matter up to some certain level. I have seen someone who studied Yoruba and she's working in a reputable place. But you can tell the person to go for a teaching job.

Thanks so much for your response. I think I will tell the person to look for a school probably private school to work since he is not a B.ed,that would have been an added advantage for him to look forward to seeing a government job.Atleast a government school will be better off compare to private school.

The first and the most will be teaching yoruba language in schools. If one can get into Federal government school then the pay will even be better. You can be a new caster reading news in youruba. You can also work in the embassy as a translator. Even writing books in Yoruba

There are many job career that can be done as a yoruba student. I don't even see any course that doesn't have career opportunities. As people have rightly said, the person can work in schools, embassy and even be a new caster. Aside this, he can work in governmental parastatals to be promoting cultures or even ministry to be designing curriculum in the subject.
