When can the NDIS disclose a deceased participant's information?

The NDIS can disclose information about a deceased participant only in specific cases that serve the public interest. They may do so when:
  • there is no reason that the deceased participant would oppose the disclosure of their information
  • the information is required for a valid purpose, like assisting in managing the estate of the deceased participant
  • the information cannot be obtained from any other source
