If you are able to understand why humans do what they do, they you will never go hungry. The best way to promote your local business is to go where your customers will find you more easily. This are tips that nobody else will ever tell you, but it will give you long term strategies that will make your business automatically successful.

1. Put a post to Create Awareness- In your local area put a small sign board where it will indicate the details of your bussines, what your business Is all about, the direction of your bussines ( where people will find your business). This is to create awareness and everybody in your area is going to know about your business.

2. Put the right content/ bussines with the right audiences- You need to understand who your targeted audience are in your business. Is your business targeting the Mum's? Youths? Kids? And so on. So you will only focus on the products that target your audience/ customers for them to be able to experience that you are fulfilling their needs.

3. Create organic traffic to your business- this is where referals comes in, people think that referal only happens online but the truth is , all bussines need referal, what I mean by this, maybe only your family and friends know your bussines, but to get organic traffic is to ask your friends and family to share your content bussines with other people. Tell a friend to tell a friend type of a thing.

4. Digital Marketing- Nowadays we have alot of privileges to do marketing online instead of hiring someone to advertise your business( which is expensive) Social media is easy to Market just on your own by creating bussines accounts on social media. And this way you will be able to grow your audience. It takes time to grow audience online because people have to trust you first but the minute they trust you, you will earn profits for years and years to come.

A friend of mine is having problem with his tailoring business, he did everything one can do, but his business was badly hit for more than one year of Pandemic; so now he wants to quit business and get a job in some company. I would like to know if you have some extra ideas on this?

There are a lot of avenue you can create awareness for your business locally. The most outstanding ones is through the mass media though this will require money. But it is a good way of reaching people far and wide. Putting up a post like you stated is another one

But the fact is that most intending business owners don't feasibility studies hereby finding it difficult to market their products. An intending business owner must have found a very strategic place where market would have been readily available to site his business.

Now local business options have now drawn attention to their business online, by offering online advertisements, about their products what they can bring to the public, and the benefits of the products they offer. It depends on the kind of products they're offering, if its consumable it is stated in the description and positioned to its targeted audience to make enquiries.

Well, it depends which type of tailoring he was doing, it was creative and for fashion then the bussines would have hit off quickly only if he had people to support him in establishing his business. However, every company and business suffered a great lose during the pandemic and he is not an exception. When pandemic stroke all of us, people focused more on food and shelter but clothing is just the least things people are interested in this days. Maybe he set up his business when it's least on demand. That's why I said it's also good to consider the type of niche and audience you are targeting. In his case, if he saw his business is not picking up well during the pandemic time, he could have thought of a niche that was in demand at that time which the marketplace on pandemic time was online and continue later with his tailoring after pandemic if that is his passion. Still he could have been able to manage the two bussines at once.

I would say I disagree with you. Marketing is the number one priority bussines men should think of before setting up their business. It should be the one thing any new business should worry or concerns about because, setting a bussines is easy if you have the capital and the niche of your business but why do some of the business fail? Business they lacked the strategies and ways of knowing how to market it. So marketing is the most crucial part in business development.

Yes WhatsApp status is also another strategy only if you have many contact list. But this days there is a way of getting many contact list and you find yourself having 10K contact list of the " save for save " then you create friendships there and eventually you will create customers or even bussines associates. There are so many ways someone can market their small business online to become a big business in the future.

One thing that you should try to understand is that does local business also mean that you want your customers to be local? . If that is the case then the best way that you can reach your customers is to traditional advertising methods like local television networks and local radio. They might look outdated or they are very effective.
