Reviews is very helpful to get an idea about websites or application how it works like you said . Most users are very interested in joining trusted websites by checking reviews on trusted platforms like trustpilot and make money forum .
Some give fake reviews on playstore,we should be aware of that because the main application owner ask users to give positive feedback to get payment . I personally feel it's somehow better to trust trustpilot and forums to check the reviews
