What are all the options after high school?

Preparing for the future is a great way to invest in yourself and your future. In fact, considering all the opportunities that you have after high school is often one of the most important steps in life, and it's difficult to do without some knowledge about what might be coming up. But with so many options available to you — from college and beyond, military service to medical school — it can be difficult to narrow down your choices.

You likely know about a few types of schools (college/university or trade/vocational) that interest you. They might come from your family or friends' experiences or maybe because they are reflected on TV or movies. You've probably heard some of the following questions come up:

What's your major?

What's your program?
This is a great question. If you have no idea what to do after high school, it's a good thing to find out. Without this information, your options are very limited. With this information, you can make plans and follow through on them. The first step to take is to decide what to do and apply for admission/instruction/training. You'll then want to continue figuring out the details of how you want your life after high school to look like and how you want it to be different than before high school (if anything).
