Generally the power situation in Africa is poor but it seems to be worse off in my country this is an open secret. And thus, it is affecting business negatively investors are leaving as a result of power problems.
And prices of commodities are skyrocketing due to power failures.

Most firm and organisation need constant and adequate power supply to carry out their operation and keep business running. And when these basic amenities are not provided business owners tend to look for alternative. But after spending much on power facility for their business operation,The government then impose a heavy levy on power generation, because they want to be the sole provider of generating power.

How would an organisation adjust itself inoder to still be in business?

This is very common in countries that doesn't have 24 hrs electricity supply. a lot of private businesses and companies always look for alternative ways of generating power in order to run their business effectively. Some of these companies in their quest to search for an alternative power supply always run into losses.
