The Line - Family And Business

Can you draw the line? When people say they want to go into business, I wonder if they really understand what they are actually saying. Business is discipline, in this case, family wise one must draw the line. Make the clarity that there is a boundary between family and business.
You know, business involves money. Family is run by money and attention, attention involves care and other emotions. It's because emotions being put into the running of a business doesn't allows a viscous growth of the business, that's why there has to be a boundary set between the both of them. Family should stay within it's line and business likewise.

Some business men would allow their family mess around with their business with the excuse to themselves that, it's family. No, you should not allow such or else your business would crash. Let your family members know that you are running a business and so they should treat it as one. With these being said, we should also know that family too has its place and we should know when to put business out of her way when necessary.

This is actually one of the reasons why a lot of businesses fail. They fell that they can exclude their families from pain for whatever goods and services offered to them. But this is a very big mistake. For a business to grow, there should be no family exceptions like this.
Of course, this is not to say that you can't offer discounts once in a while or even leave the money for them completely, but this should not be done regularly. And business men need to make it clear to them that that kind of entitlement mentality will not be accepted. If the family members really care about the business owner and the business, they will understand and do what's necessary.

In business it's good to separate family from business and even in business concept the owner is separated from the business. For any business to be successful you must separate yourself and family from the business. If the owner and his family are not separated from the business there is tendency of the business to failed. There must be boundaries in business. Business is business and family is family.

That's right, the family members should do some understanding. They should make the work easier for the business man by supporting him with their discipline. I mean, he is running a business, they should always put that into consideration when next they visit his store or whatever business he does, they should learn to pay when they make a purchase or patronage.

The business should be run with minimum attachment with the personal life of the owner. That way it would grow daily unhindered by the owners excesses. People who run a business should let to detach their private life it, doing ensuring they do it at least to the minimum level that it can be. All these calls for discipline.

Family and business are two different entities. What you need is understanding. Explain to them calmly what your business is and how they can help you grow it by respecting it and acting the way a regular customer would. There is nothing like free service, a well meaning family member will not even think of being entitled to it. Go to all these top companies, they don't recognize family. They can help you in other ways but definitely not free service to you. And if you have their best interest at heart you will not pressure any family member into business to render you services free of charge.

Yes, you are right but you missed the point where most of the businessmen forget their family due to being over-involved in their business so it is essential thing remembering that don't forget your family while running your business.
