The Bank of Namibia set to launch its CBDC project

The digital currency is what is on the lips of many government. No one wants to be found wanting on the opportunities offered by the digital currencies and that the major reason why the digital currencies are being discussed by many government. So many countries have launched their CBDC projects. They foremost of them all is China
The China CBDC known as the China digital yuan , have lots of cryptocurrency related features. It used the blockchain and the Chinese government also have the Plans to add the smart contracts to the blockchain.

Joining the league of the central bank digital currency project is the government of Namibia. The Bank of Namibia also have plans rolled out to launch its digital currency. The country decided to follow the rest of the world on the CBDC project inorder to gain access to the digital world. Many countries have started to shift towards that acceptance of the digital currencies. The old financial rudimentary are gradually phasing out. So, it is very important to jump on the moving train. The governor of the Bank of Namibia (BON), Johannes Gawaxab made this known in the briefing on the CBDC on the national television .

The Central Bank digital currency is a global product that most of the countries are actually adopting. This is because the world is gradually becoming a global village via the digital system and the old financial platform are actually phading out. It is very pertinent for these countries to join the bandwagon of the Central Bank digital currencies project. In my home country ,Nigeria , has also adopted a Central Bank digital currency and it is currently at it peak. China is the first country that use the Central Bank digital currency and it was launched on a blockchain technology that could use a smart contract. It will be a very good development if the blood chain that was adopted for the Central Bank digital currency could accept smart contracts. The smart contract enabled features will allow so many things to be integrated into the CBDC project. This is a decentralized platform that could be used for so many things. You have seen countries that uses the smart contract for the electioneering campaign. The beauty of the smart contract is that it will allow his self executed transaction ,it could not be tempered by a third party. The smart contract has a lot of goodies that could be used better the economy.
