one of the item needed in the home even on a daily basis is groceries. You can't do without needing one of the things that will help you live comfortably. And the truth is you can't live without having a grocery bill but the achievable thing is that you can save money from high spending on it if you can strategize better to save on the bills

Saving on spending so much on your grocery is possible if you do the following:

1.Do Bulk buying of your groceries, this way you would enjoy buying on a cheaper rate and have reduced bills to pay anytime you go on groceries purchases.

2.Reduce groceries wastage : Try to get the value for your money by not wasting the ones you have. You can stored them well to avoid quick spoilage or damages that might make you spend extra money getting new ones

3.Have a realistic groceries budget that will help you save money. You can go on window shopping or find out the price online before making your list and then go ahead to work with the budget that wouldn't go off the top for you.

4.Make do with leftovers the next day or time to avoid exhausting your groceries before the expected time.

What do you think?

Everyone will have a tactic, or should have one, on how to reduce expenses that do comes from grocery shopping, especially if you have large family.

As my families housekeeper, I do agree that buying in bulk is one of the best tactics to save money from grocery shopping. A lot of stores will also offer you discounts if you are buying in bulk and if you are are a regular customer too.

One other way to reduce grocery bill for food items is to buy in bulk good items that can be preserved for use when they go out of season, like onions in my community. Prices can easily triple or quadruple when such things are no longer in season.

Another way is to make every member of you family play an active role in controlling their use of some things. Reducing wastage is as good a way to save money as buying more things.

Your last paragraph is apt, you can't only do the controlling while others are wasting so it is more like all hands must be on deck if you want to save yourself from spending more than saving yourself from more bills from extra groceries due to wastage. if one has children then it will time to really monitor them children are never in the position to know how these things are expensive infact they might see some of these things like items that they can tear and play with. So it will be up to you to prevent this from happening so that you can use it to the expected time

Yeah like you rightly mentioned some stuff can be very expensive when it is out of season and have ofcourse it will add to usual grocery bills. if you want to save on this, the best bet will be to buy them in bulk and store away. You never can tell you can use them till the off season is over or almost over so that you wouldn't feel the pains of the increased price.

Having a budget will also help you don't need to go overboard with your spending which will help you save.
