Often, businesses consider both SEO and PPC as two similar channels to help them drive traffic from the search engines.
And while there is no denying that they both involve appearing on, and getting clicks from, search engines, they are two very different channels.
PPC involves paying per click.
SEO (organic search) clicks are free.
You can start to drive traffic with PPC from the search engines very quickly, whereas it can take time to rank organically.
But really, the two aren't competing channels. They are both parts of a much wider digital marketing mix, and the two can, and should, work together effectively to drive success online.

Both PPC and SEO have own benefits as well as their downsides. Both of them are good sources of traffic and can help to generate target ones.

PPC is good for a company that want to generate traffic fast to their offers and test how the market will react to the product or service they are bringing in.

The best way to utilize PPC is to have lead capturing system in place in order to maximize the cost of running PPC. It can be a waste of money of you run PPC to drive traffic to offer as the conversion is low for the first contact. It is being said that it takes at least 3 or more contact before a buying decision is taking.

SEO on the other hand might take lots time to manifest good result but the traffic keep coming even when no work is done. A good company works on both traffic methods to capture more customers.

Both PPC and SEO have advantages and disadvantages, and work best when supporting each other collectively. When combined, they improve your website, increase your leads, and bring greater results. Both PPC and SEO together gives you a large source of data for decision making purposes. You can determine keywords that are sending visitors to your website, and keywords that are most effective for generating sales. When working together, PPC and SEO will help you make smart decisions about the future changes to your website.
