Communication is one of the most important parts of any business, and it happens in many different forms and through many different mediums.
The first type of communication is verbal communication—that is, speaking words aloud. It can be either in person or over the phone or a video call. Verbal communication is great for immediate feedback (which is helpful for when you're trying to make sure your point got across) and for situations that require problem-solving (since you can hear other people's ideas). However, verbal communication can also be stressful for some people who prefer to collect their thoughts before speaking, or who need time to think about how they want to express themselves.

Another important form ofcommunication is written communication—that is, written words on a page or screen. Written communication can be sent in an email, a text message, or even a paper letter via mail. Written communication has the benefit of being able to be carefully crafted, and it allows people time to think about what they want to say without having the pressure of speaking aloud right away. However, it also doesn't have any immediate feedback (which can be difficult if you don't get a response right away), and it's hard to convey tone without emojis or GIFs.

Businesses are made of people, and people communicate with each other in a variety of ways. Communication is essential in the workplace because it allows companies to be productive and creative. It ensures that everything runs smoothly, empowers employees to contribute to the company's success, and fosters an environment where new ideas thrive.

Communication takes many forms, but there are seven main types that are central to any business: verbal (in-person), nonverbal (body language), written (email), listening, visual (charts and graphs), digital (software systems), and emotional intelligence.

No matter what size your company is or what industry you practice in, communication is fundamental to keeping your business running smoothly.
