T-shirts are one of the highest-selling items in the apparel industry. If you want to get a share in the pie, you can try selling T-shirts through the print-on-demand model as you don’t need any upfront cost to manufacture or source the product and don’t have to fulfill the purchase order yourself. You can sell print-on-demand products through multiple platforms like Etsy, Redbubble, AmazonMerch, Teespring, etc.

In order to generate a lot of sales, you need to remember three things

  • Design
  • SEO
  • Marketing
Design

You need to try micro niche for your t-shirt designs

You need to cross niche (combine two different niches in one design)

Use a combination of text, images, and other graphics in your design

Create t-shirts on the trending niches (your design needs to be unique, though)

SEO

You need to use trending keywords on your product title, description, and tags

You need to use multiple keywords for your listing

Marketing

You need to promote your product on-site (the platform where you are selling) and off-site (other marketing platforms, social media for instance).

No matter what you are selling, when it comes to sell online, you need SEO and digital marketing. Without SEO and digital marketing, you cannot generate sales. When it comes to sell clothing item, designs matter most because people buy items based on their designs. Therefore, if your clothing brand does not have better designs, it will be very difficult to sell. You cannot appeal to different kind of people through the same design, therefore, in order to attract people from different segment of the society you need to create different kinds of designs. When your clothes incorporates different designs, you will have a lot of customers. You will also have to take note of lot of things to generate sales. For instance, you can sell a lot of items with Christmas theme during Christmas theme. You can sell fall designs during the fall season. However, you need to have patience with your business.
