Marketing a business is the process of making a business be familiar or looking for more customers to your business. This mostly aim at raising the sells and increasing the demand for your products to get more and more customers in order to make high profits and increase your supply due to high demand.

Small businesses mostly uses the word of mouth to advertise their products to consumers and mostly here people are used to spread the news about the products in the market. It also uses cheap modes or advertising like posts or printing papers and glue them in different areas or places the papers should include all the information about your products and where you are located plus you personal details like phone numbers.

When you are starting a small business most times we are always worried about how we are going to get customers to patronize us, and how we are going to let people know about our products. Well the best way to market a small business is through word of mouth, getting the people in your community that are familiar with you to know about your products that's the easiest step, because if you can get them to patronize you then you are already one step ahead. I always believe that a good product will always market itself, if what you are offering is good and the few ones you market it to like it then you have nothing to worry about because they will always inform their friends about your product.

It depends on the kind of small business. When it is a homebase business then the marketing of the business is as simple as calling the neighbors by phone to offer your products (if it is a selling business). But if the business is situated in a commercial area then you probably need to use the poster to announce your business. Usually the trick here of some new businesses is to have an opening sale for 1 week just to make the public curious of the new business and what it is all about. That never fails because potential buyers would always take advantage of the sale price.

Mouth to mouth marketing strategy can also be a very effective marketing strategy but it is not one that you can effectively rely on . You can use mouth to mouth marketing if you are just starting out on a business and you will need locals to back you up instead you should use digital advertisement methods.
