I also recommend using Soundcloud as an alternative since it allows for direct uploads from mobile devices (iPhones, iPads) without having to go through a third party service like Libsyn or Blubrry (or another service provider).

If you are a good talker and if you have good diction, you can start as a podcaster. However, just because you can speak well does not mean you can become a podcaster. You also need to be a good writer because you need material for your podcast. Your writing should be in spoken language because a podcast is spoken. Without writing skills, it is impossible to become a podcaster, you sure can hire writers but that will add cost to your work. If you are writing your own material, you also need the ability to research. Your material needs to be well-researched. You also need recording equipment and sound editing software. There are a lot of platforms where you can publish your podcasts and make money by selling podcasts. However, just because your podcast is available for purchase does not mean you start making money, you need to spend some money in marketing.
