How to be an effective worker

An effective worker is one who assembles components and materials in production, maintains upkeep, and performs quality control.

Effective workers are not stuck in one place all day; they are constantly on the move with a variety of tasks to accomplish. They often have to be able to lift heavy items, so you’ll need a strong back and good balance. You may spend your time erecting scaffolding or working from hanging platforms. Your hands will get dirty with grease and oil, so you might want work gloves for protection.

Some effective workers have to travel from site to site, so you'll need a valid driver's license and a clean driving record. You don't have to be an expert behind the wheel, but you will need good judgment in order to avoid accidents and arrive on time.

You may work indoors or outdoors and could be exposed to noise, fumes or other harsh conditions of the working environment. Effective workers have good communication skills; they are able to transmit information clearly—and they must be able to hear well enough to follow instructions.

Some effective workers work in teams with people who do different jobs. They could be workers in the same trade, for example, construction workers. Effective workers need to maintain order in a noisy and crowded environment. They will spend varying amounts of time on site and move around often.

Effective workers may have to be adaptable to changes as project deadlines approach or work locations shift or change daily. Effective workers must have a good memory; they are constantly trying to remember how things were when they left their former place of employment.
The unfortunate fact is that not all effective workers can be predicted by their past performance in previous jobs.

Good points though but can one actually be an effective work when they are tasked with handling multiple things at the same time? I feel it would be Abit difficult if it's a situation you have to manage the office, and at the same time supervise does that are not working, staying there with them till they complete the task at hand, go out and get materials needed and at the same time attend to customers and clients.
