One thing that small businesses fail to realize is that they can have an edge over big businesses by being able to build relationships with customers. Big companies are too big and won't be able to relate with all these small customers at a personal level. As a small business, step in and target the average population segment of the market. Offer highly personalised products and give some incentives that big competitors don't give. Treat your customers like royalty despite their status and they would be loyal to your business.
