How can we get success in general store business?

General store business become very tough in Pakistan, the main reason of this change is inflation, the cost of products become almost double as we were able to fill our general item store in 500$ now it is required to spend 1000$ to fill the store and customers will get the required products. Second thing new here is nowadays there are so many super stores open those are selling products in very low price so people started purchasing all general items from there. What is your experience in this regard?

I understand how difficult it is to run a general store anywhere in the world now. That's because the purchasing power of people have generally decreased while prices of finished products have increased. I think the only option left for people running a general store anywhere is to streamline and cut costs.

People dealing with general stores as a business should also focus only on utility items and leave luxury items to cut costs since people even barely have enough to buy utilities to even think of buying luxury items.
