Having an amiable labor union for business success

In our country labor unions have the habit of being antagonistic against the management. In a bargaining meeting that I witnessed the officers of the labor union were acting like they are peers with the officers of the company. The manner of talking denotes of bravado and threats.

Our HR officer said that the verbal clash in the meeting is brought about by the mind conditioning of the union officers that they can push their rights. Considering that union officers are lowly employees of the company then the supervisors or managers should be the ones to establish the rapport that the company cannot do. If the union officers can realize that the company is not against the union then there will be peace and cooperation during the bargaining period.
