Popular digital currency asset manager Grayscale and US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) are not in friendly mood. Grayscale has applied to convert the Grayscale Bitcoin Trust (GBTC) into an ETF. But the SEC has not approved it.

SSC Chairman Gary Gensler is liberal on the subject of Spot Bitcoin ETF, but the GBTC approvl is pending for investigation of fraud and manipulation. There is a possibility that the SEC will reject Grayscale's request, and this possibility has become a reason of dispute between the two.

Grayscale is no longer ready to back down its 30 Billion dollar project, Grayscale CEO Michael Sonnenshein has even said that, it is right now their No.1 priority, and has not ruled out the option of suing the SEC if it rejects Grayscale's request.
