Effects of misleading advertisement towards consumers trust.

In my previous thread, I made mention in detailed emphasis how efficient and adequate customers and clients trust and loyalty could be achieved when a business owner increases the quality of his business products and services but presently in this thread I will be emphasizing on how important advertisement could be used as a mechanism to constantly increase the trust and loyalty of a business customers and clients towards your business products and services . Nowadays the use of advertisement is basically not for the purpose it was initially meant for but rather it is presently used as a dubious way of getting the interest and enticement of members of the public thereby luring them to purchase a business products and services. To be more elaborate and explainative, what is being shown in advertisement these days concerning business products and services are not true and realistic of what the business products and services actually does or performs.

There have been so many situations where customers and clients have been deceived by advertisement which is absolutely not the rightful thing to be expected when an advertisement is performed. Misleading advertisements totally pushes away the trust and loyalty of customers and clients. Especially when they get to buy a business product or service which does not performed the action in which it was actually expected to do as portrayed and emphasized in a particular commercial advertisement. Advertisement should be true and realistic.

In a bid to gain more consumer trust, the advertising industry has taken in various measures to ensure that they do not mislead their consumers. While these measures have helped in keeping away from any misleading advertisement, it has also resulted in many consumers being misled. The effects of misleading advertisement towards consumers are:

1. Misleading advertisements may cause confusion about the product or service advertised and may result in loss of money for consumers, which in turn will affect the company.

2. Misleading advertisements may lead to an unhealthy lifestyle which can result in physical and mental disorders among the consumers and thus lead to an increase in medical expenses.

3. Misleading advertisements may encourage children to consume unhealthy food items which can lead to health problems for them later on in their lives as well as for their parents who might have helped them purchase such products when they were children themselves.

I do not know which business owner needs to hear this but you cannot joke or get the trust and loyalty from members of the public with the use of misleading business advertisement, and according to research misleading advertisements is obviously seen in every social media platforms and even in the internet where business owners showcase their business product given its effect procedures and use it just to entice the interest of members of the public to make a sale of their products .

Indeed it should be that way but rather it is absolutely very responsible when a business owner use this advertisement for the mechanism it actually is which is a way of showcasing and rightfully experiencing his business product usage and procedures to members of the public, it is absolutely very important that you maintain a fixed amount of trust and loyalty when it comes to advertisements of your business products and goods or services, because it is only by this way you came to win the knowledge and trust of members of the public.
