You are running your business at a great risk if you are not insurance the entire business.

Unforseen circumstances are some of the life occurrence we cannot predict. Also we cannot escape those unforseen circumstances when they happen to us unless we prepare for them.

Business insurance mitigates the loss the business owners might record when they insure their companies and the things they use to run the business.

One of the unforseen circumstances that happen is riot. Riot can breaks out at any point in time. When it happens, many people see it as an opportunity to loot some of the nearby businesses, stores and shops.

So I want to ask that can business insurance cover the looting which occurs as result of riot that broke out?

Insurance policy on business are of various dimensions. Some may be fire, other may be flood or even bad debt. The one that the insurance will cover will be boldly written and attested by the insurance company and the bhsiness owner. If riot is not listed, it won't cover riot.

I think in business insurance there are different policies depending on the company and their location. Some companies may i have policies that relates to violence and other disasters that may lead to your business to get damaged or losses. Under such circumstance your insurance company can play a vital role.

Business insurance covers all the business risk. Any damage that could cause set backs to the business is covered by the business insurance. Riots that affected the business would hinder the operations of the business. In this regard, I think rioe affecting the business would be covered. Perhaps, if you needed information on this, you could contact the insurance agent or read the term and conditions of the policy.

Yeah I have seen a particular insurance cover for any cases of riots , but the problem is that you need to pay more premium for that , because the risk of riot is actually common and the insurance would not want to run at loss covering that kind of risk too

This is one of the reasons why business insurance is truly important, let’s say you happen to establish in a location where security is not guaranteed. You could make use of such policy and it will provide a good coverage in order not to lose out if any damages should occur during riots

I think this is a timely topic to discuss because of the George Floyd killing that gave rise to the "black lives matter" movement. There were riots in several states that the business establishments suffered massive damages. If those businesses were insured then they can recover. But I guess the damages from riot are not covered by the policy.
