When it comes to financial matters there should be no one except your partner with whom you can openly discuss your financial problems and matters. Laugh. I don't plan to marry based on age though. I am only telling you that when I do, my partner will be my planning partner. I like the fact that we share the same idea and we are both planning to settle down soon. But don't let us forget that we should not settle with whom we cannot plan financially with.

When I retired from my office job I was delegated to handle the day to day budget in our household. There is no problem with my wife and me regarding finances because we always talk about it casually. When there is a shortage I try to extract some funds from my bank account and when there is an excess that money goes to my bank account.

Even though many people would discuss problems related to budgetting with their partners, it entirely depends on the partner and their personality. There are many people I know of who really do not discuss anything with their partners because they simply do not trust their partner and their partners are greedy. Apart from budget, they do not discuss any financial matter with their partner.
