Company summer outing

Don’t laugh at the title because the summer outing is a tradition here whether big or small companies. The summer outing can be a day trip or an overnight trip. That is an opportunity for the employees to do some bonding activities. The HR officer said that aside from the bonding session, the summer outing is a breather for the work. Employees are excited when the memo on the summer outing is released to all the departments. An added expense to the company but it’s worth it.

In my experience the summer outing is also an opportunity to showcase the talents of the employees. At night there would be an informal program for singing, dancing and whatever talent one has. Back in the office it is noticeable that employees have a change in relationship, much closer than before.
