  5. State Farm Insurance.
However, here are the top 5 cheap car insurance companies in the U.S., in order of decreasing cost:

#2 Geico: This company offers the highest rates in the industry for both liability and collision. However, there are ways you can save money on this company. If you have a clean driving record and have not been involved in an accident in the past seven years, then you can save money by having no accidents. If you are a student, you can save money by opting for the minimal state minimum coverage required by your state. Geico has other policies available, such as travel insurance and pet insurance.

While they are known mainly as the cheapest car insurance providers, they do offer some great benefits. For example, they offer discount car coverage for their female drivers. Additionally, drivers may be able to save money on both personal injury protection and collision coverage.

#4 Allstate: Allstate ranks near the bottom due to high premium costs. However, they offer a number of benefits and discounts for various reasons. Some of these include: driver's insurance, roadside assistance, discount car rental coverage and more. In addition, they also offer discounts for several different categories, including: senior citizens, military personnel, non-smokers and more. In fact, Allstate is one of the most preferred insurance providers in the country.

#5 GEICO:
Despite being ranked at the bottom, GEICO still provides many options for consumers. In fact, if you have poor credit scores or no driving history, you can purchase GEICO through a special financial arrangement. On top of that, GEICO offers the lowest premiums, which means that even with a poor credit history, you can still save hundreds of dollars per year.

Cheap rates of insurance policies could be found in mostly the developed countries because there are good and stable economy that would cover for the low cost of the plan. I believe it also take effect in the premium being paid maybe weekly, bi-weekly or monthly. This is not common in a place like Nigeria
