The economy is crashing and you are losing your job or are about to. Is it still possible to save money? Yes, it is. You just have to make some changes in the way you spend money.

1. Stop buying things that aren’t necessary. It’s easy to get sucked into a spending frenzy when the economy is down, but it’s essential that you don’t fall into debt by buying things that aren’t necessary. If you can save money by not buying something, don’t buy it!

2. Donate or sell your stuff on Craigslist or eBay (or both). Instead of throwing away old clothes or other unnecessary items, try selling them for cash instead! This will help ease some financial stress and allow you to continue saving for the future rather than buying more things that may not be needed anymore.

3. Shop at thrift shops instead of department stores. Instead of going out shopping in expensive boutiques and spending lots of money on trendy clothes that only last one season before they break down, shop at the local thrift shops first! You can typically find awesome deals.
