Businesses environment refers to conditions or factors which surround and affect business operations. A business can be affected by many factors such as competition from other businesses dealing with similar goods, inadequate supply of raw materials, lack of capital and inadequate markets for products.

All these factors that affect or influence businesses are referred to as business environment. The forces or factors that affect a business from within are referred to as internal environment. Factors that affect a business from outside are termed as external environment.

The environment is very much important in every business, I doubt if any business survive in an environment that is not conducive. The business environment comprised of the market , the security and the policies. So if your market size is not big enough to accommodate the products or services you want to render then you need to expand your market, if the environment is very safe then your business can thrive easily. Apart from capital and the business plan the next factor to consider is surely the environment to site the business.
