For media monetization, BBTV has launched a crypto payment mechanism. NEWS BroadbandTV Corporation (BBTV) content creators will soon be able to get compensated in cryptocurrency.

Pay to Crypto, a payment option from BBTV, allows creators to be compensated in Bitcoin (BTC), Ether (ETH), and USD Stablecoin (USDC). Creators only need to select a crypto asset and submit a compatible wallet address, and BBTV will pay their earnings directly to them.

Being paid directly in cryptocurrency is a nice bonus for certain creators. "Being paid directly in bitcoin saves me time and at a minimum expense compared to the many transfers from my bank to several wallets," content creator Joseph Hogue said in the release.

According to BBTV chairperson and CEO Shahrzad Rafati, the plan to include crypto payments is a response to creator interest. "Creators have been quite outspoken about their want to participate in the Web3 revolution, and we're happy to be leading the charge," Rafati added.

The company assists content creators of all sizes by recognizing and monetizing videos posted by viewers on sites such as YouTube. Individuals as well as larger corporations such as the NBA, Viacom, and Sony Pictures are served by the company.

The crypto payment solution is built with the support of Netcoins, a subsidiary of BIGG Digital Assets Inc., a crypto trading platform. BIGG CEO Mark Binns added his two cents, stating that "their payments are being converted from USD to other currencies."
