Data analysis is the systematic process of examining data to reveal insights within the data that can help in decision-making. In a world where data reigns supreme and big data is the next big thing, a career as a data analyst would be very lucrative and highly sought after. But which attributes should a person build or have to be predisposed to a career in Data Analysis?
1) Strong Statistical Background: One must have a firm capacity and knowledge of statistical concepts and modeling to think of a career in data analysis.
2) Problem-Solving Mindset: If someone wants to succeed in Data Analysis, they must have an analytical mind that is always open to solving problems.
3) Strong Communication skills: It is one thing to analyze and interpret data. It is another thing to be able to communicate the inferences for someone to use and make vital decisions. That's why communication is needed to be a successful data analyst.
