Google search engine is the best source for free organic traffic. A Blog or a website can receive organic traffic if they are able to rank higher on Google search engine for the targeted keywords.

You can continue to receive free organic traffic from Google search engine if your websites do not receive penalty from Google.

People are doing different things in order to rank higher on Google search engine. They are lots of tools people are using in order to discover keywords they can rank for on Google search engine.

In the past people focus on building links for their websites in order to rank higher on Google search engine. So I want to ask that is backlinks building still relevant in SEO in 2021?

I think backlinks will always be important as far as blogging and websites are concerned, unless you don't want your website to have a high domain authority and you don't need good traffic, bit if you need those two things then you must work on getting backlinks, both internal and external.
