Being able to identify a smart business partner in 5 minutes or less is an important skill that can help you grow your business and make it more successful.

1. Figure out what you want in a business partner. What are their key functions? Do they need to be knowledgeable about the financial sector? About marketing? Make sure that you have a clear idea of what you're looking for before you start talking to people about partnerships.

2. Talk to them about their interests and goals. Business partners who share similar goals are more likely to be compatible in the long run, and will hopefully be more motivated to work together to reach those goals.

3. Ask them about their history, and why they want to be a part of your project. This will help you figure out if they're trustworthy—if their story matches up with the dates on their resume, for example, or if they have a consistent track record of performance and success at work—and will also help you get a sense of whether or not they're going to put in the effort it takes to make your business successful.

4. Ask them how they plan on contributing.

I think these are really good tips for identifying potential business partners - although I think you should spend more than five minutes on this, it's a big decision to make.

Meeting don't last less than 20 minutes so there is no way to discover this in 5 minutes because in a meeting there are many questions especially if it is a meeting for a new partnership or work. What you say is extremely hard.
