promote a company's brand and products on their social media networks so as to increase brand awareness and increase sales, but brand ambassadors are not employees of a company.

I think some of these big companies are missing it with this brand ambassador thing. I understand that they are trying to market their products but why would they use someone who doesn't in any way depict their product as their brand ambassador? Now take, for instance, an artist that is known to have so many baby mamas to advertise for a contraceptive company. That match doesn't just work. Also as a famous person, the brands you endorse can be used to judge your personality.

For instance, a well-loved artist who endorses a brand known to be highly capitalistic would be seen to be in support of that company's values. But what hope do ordinary people like us have? We have the looks and the charisma to be a brand ambassadors but we don't just have the fame. Is it ever possible that a brand can use someone that is not very famous as a brand ambassador?
 
When I started my first Instagram account, I was invited by 2 different companies to be a brand ambassador. I accepted and they gave me a promo code to place in all of my social media posts. I did that for a while. The problem was that I had was that there was no really good way for me to verify if that brand got customers or clients because of my posts. So I stopped.
