Boutique business is actually a good business, it is lucrative in my area, I know this because I know someone that does it, he gets his clothes from a multinational company and sells at a high price most times and people are always buying clothes so it is a nice idea.

Decide on the type of boutique you want to start
There are basically 3 types of boutiques in terms of the way they stock goods – consignment boutique, regular buy, and sell retail boutique and the franchisee boutique

A consignment boutique will stock goods manufactured by other designers or manufacturers and will take a percentage as their share when the item is sold.

Decide on the USP of the store – the purpose of your business
Decide on why you want to open the boutique and what you will be offering. You will also have to know what is in the trend and the colors that appeal to the market at the moment.

Make a customer profile or profiles of your ideal customer and find products for them.

Think about the purpose of your business and whether it tries to solve a real problem. You can conduct a small market research to know what is currently lacking in the market that you can provide.

Boutique is one business that I know to be a very lucrative business as I have worked in a boutique as a salesman handling all the money and keeping the place in a general orderliness. In a matter of days, we can make upto $1000. The only thing that is very important for the success of a boutique is consistency and focus.

Opening a boutique on a very good location attracts more customers. We should always deal on clothing that is eye catching and good looking to attract more people patronizing the shop. If we deal on clothes that is quality, and affordable draws improve sales.

In my school here, owning a boutique is a very lucrative business venture. Most especially when you sell female wears. The girls here like to always buy the latest clothes, and this would mean more money for you.
The boutique business really depends one's location as it's not profitable in rural areas where people are poor.

A boutique that I built in front of our house was my very first formal business. My mistake was not having a market survey so that I could determine the type of boutique which is directly related to the items that are in demand. In our community it is not much for clothes but more for the so called bric-a-brac or accessories and miscellaneous items. Personalized pen, fancy bracelet, soap, shampoo, etc. The clothes that I have invested in did not sell much and that added to my financial burden. I just hope that the newcomers in the boutique business will do a thorough market research in the area where the store is located.

It is a very lucrative business that can exist in almost every environment with reasonable number of population, the population, the level of development and cost of living of the environment determine how the boutique will be but certainly you will sell especially if you study the needs of the people and sell accordingly.

Boutique business is a good and lucrative business only if you can get a better location in an urban area, cities, hostels or campus, and selling student wears makes more money than other thing.

Lately I think having a boutique is a bit over-rated and it's a business I do not advise for anyone. The profits made from selling those clothes are a little not enough and there are a lot of competition in boutique business even if you are in a urban area. The competition is something you might not be able to handle and getting your own customer can also be a problem.

Boutique business is really really profitable for those who knows each and everything and having great idea about the clothes and designing on clothes. People in this era love to buy dresses from the designer shop like higher class of people usually love to buy dresses from boutiques .
we are always visiting boutique for wedding purposes and ceremonies so they sell their clothes on very high price if someone really knows about selling clothes and designing on different type of clothes so this business is really the creative for them and even they can be the the top of the the designers if the boutique runs well and people likes there fabric along designs so this type of business will really helpful for them in the coming future and coming time I have seen that most of the people has started their business from small scale and now they are converted into the big business on very large scale so it all depends on the the actors and knowledge related to this type of business.

Boutique business is awesome especially in first world countries as there are a lot of patronage from customers and even tourist. However, this cannot be said for third world countries due to low earning power of citizens in these third world countries. Most of them prefer to buy already used clothes from first world countries. Also, most boutiques in third world countries are most times guilty of selling counterfeit materials at a cheaper price. Some of these materials includes; Gucci Clothes, Versace belts and lots more. In order for boutiques in third world countries to maximally benefit from profits associated with boutique business, they have to ensure their wares are authentic.

Boutique business is a nice business to venture into if you have the resources. I plan to start a clothing stores also to add to my foodstuffs business. If you have good capital you can go into wholesale of ready-mades clothes you will make good profits selling in bulk as wholesale sell faster than retail whichever one you choose make sure that the business location is good.

This is a profitable business but the unfortunate thing is that it is only profitable in a location that is highly populated and if you think of going into this type of business you need to be careful in the type of location you are setting the business because the location will affect the growth of this business.

Boutique is very lucrative a business and you can make more than half of your investment in a month if properly monitored and managed. There are some countries like Benin republic that sell clothes in small amount of money and even some places do sell cheap clothes. If you can get those cheap clothes. You can sell them higher in your places.
